A strong ride starts with control and confidence. That’s why Maastricht Bike works together with Nature Sports & Events and expert partners to help you prepare in the best possible way.
Bike Clinic – Friday 10 April
The second confirmed training session is the official Bike Clinic on Friday 10 April, offered by Nature Sports & Events in collaboration with Tri Center Maastricht and VeloMedix. During this clinic, you will work on the fundamentals as well as practical skills that you can immediately apply during the dsm-firmenich Long Course Weekend Netherlands in Maastricht.
You will learn how to shift gears correctly, take corners and descents safely, use clip-in pedals efficiently, and ride safely in a group. In addition, experienced coaches will share practical tips on nutrition, pacing, and race preparation on the bike. Whether you are new to cycling or already more experienced, this clinic will help you arrive at the start line with greater control, confidence, and efficiency.
Program
- 18:30 – Arrival and welcome at Nature Sports & Events, with the opportunity to change
- 18:30 – Optional short bike fit by VeloMedix for those who would like to have their bike position checked
- 19:00 – Start of the clinic with knowledge sharing and skill practice at Nature Sports & Events
- 20:00 – Opportunity to ride part of the official Long Course Weekend bike course, with a choice of 30 km or 60 km
- 22:00 – End of the clinic
Afterwards, there is an opportunity to shower and change at Nature Sports & Events.
The clinic is suitable for all levels. The first part mainly focuses on beginner cyclists who want to improve their technique and confidence. The second part, where you ride part of the course, is also highly valuable for more experienced participants who would like to explore the course in advance.
Participation fee: €10 per person.
